The VIP Lounge is based on Luke 14: 8-14
When your boss invites you to a big concert, don’t blag your way into the VIP lounge. Suppose there’s a genuine VIP on the way? When they and their entourage turn up, you’ll get asked to leave! Asked to leave – in front of your boss and everyone!
Nope, when you’re invited, go to the seat on your ticket. Then your boss might turn up, saying, ‘Come on, there’s plenty of room in the VIP lounge. You’re one of my party, come up, make yourself at home!’ Then everyone will see that you get treated like a VIP.
Everyone who tries to make themselves more important than they are gets humbled. It’s those who humble themselves who get lifted up.
Another thing: when you take someone out to lunch or dinner, don’t just invite your mates or your family or the person who can help your career. Invite the new employee, the work experience intern, the unemployed and the homeless. You’ll be blessed because you invited people who couldn’t invite you back – and you’ll be repaid when the righteous are resurrected.
