The Friend at Midnight is based on Luke 11: 5-8
Suppose you’ve got a friend and you phone them up at midnight and say, ‘Mate, can you burn a CD copy of Perfect? I’ve just checked the CD for the wedding tomorrow and that song’s not playing and I haven’t got a CD burner!’
Then the friend answers, ‘Do you know what time it is? You’ve woken me up, the baby has only just got to sleep, the computer’s turned off and I’m not burning any CD’s!’
You know what? Even if they won’t get up and burn the CD because of friendship, they’ll do it to avoid everyone’s reproaches tomorrow.
