The Watchful House-Sitter is based on Luke 12: 35-38
Be watchful – properly dressed, with the lights still on, as if you were a house-sitter waiting for your employer to return from an overseas wedding.
Because it’ll be good for them if the householder finds them still sitting up. When the householder arrives home at 2am, there they are, awake and ready! Honestly, that householder is likely to be so delighted that he’ll offer the house-sitter the use of the house for their own wedding.
Yeah, it’s a good thing to be found on the alert. Even if you do have to wait up to midnight, to 2 am , or even 4 am!
